THE RHETORICAL EXPERIMENT

You visited the MIT and saw the performances of the robot cheetah for the first time: watch the video of the robot here. Few days later, you receive a message from an old friend, Bernard, who asks about your visit.Write a letter to Bernard to describe your experience (10-15 lines), knowing that:

• Bernard is retired but had a career as a roboticist
• With age, he became blind (so you cannot just send a video to him)

Tips for inspiration: using the video, try to make Bernard see what you saw and feel what you felt through your text. Use many details, focus on your sensations when looking at this robot.After the exercice,... check your production:

•  Did you give enough details so Bernard can picture the situation?
• About the movement especially, can Bernard imagine well enough the movement of the robot? Did you give enough details?
• Did you share your own experience? How did you feel when you saw the robot?
• Can Bernard re-live the situation?
